The Steer on a Dragonboat is a critical role.  This person has primary responsibility for safe operation while on the water.  In addition to guiding the boat, the steer also maintains awareness of hazards outside the boat and potnetial problems on the boat.  The Grand Masters maintains an up-to-date list of experienced steers who are members of the Grand Masters Club and have volunteered to help other Grand Masters’ teams when they need a steer.  Please contact one of them if you need help.

Drummers are important roles on a racing boat.  The Drummer facilitates communication between the Steer and the lead paddlers (Strokes).  The paddler keeps pace,  encourage and can drive performance out of the boat.  A Drummer is not needed for most practices but is required for a racing event.  We have many experienced drummers within Grand Masters.

Please contact a substitute drummer if you need help.

Well it was nice to see the Team in the fight at the Hernando Festival. We wish you the very best.
Please make sure the team gets 100% membership in the SRDBA. Prepare for the SRDBA Championship in 2024.
