The Grand Masters 2026 Chicken Race happened on May 1st at Sumter Lake.  The 9 Grand Masters Teams came together for a fun and challenging event.  For those who are new to Dragonboating, a chicken race is a short sprint where at the finish line, the drummer has to place or throw a rubber chicken into a basket.  If the chicken doesn’t stay in the basket, your time doesn’t count.  It is fun and surprisingly hard (for the drummer).
